There are many waterfalls in Bali’s north and Dolphin Beach Holiday Apartments make a perfect base from which to explore them all!

On your way to Lovina from Denpasar you may have noticed a sign for Gitgit Waterfall. Being only 9 kilometres south of Singaraja, Gitgit is very easily accessible by car and once you arrive you’ll venture down a winding path to the river bed from where you’ll have a clear view of the 60 metre high falls. Gitgit is a very popular waterfall to visit and comes highly recommended by those who visit it.

A much smaller set of waterfalls is Sing Sing, you’ll find these just 2 kilometres inland from Lovina Beach and very easy to access being not too far off the beaten track. Do keep in mind though, Sing Sing doesn’t flow all year so check before you head off but when the waterfalls at Sing Sing are flowing you’ll find the deep pools perfect for a cooling freshwater dip.

waterfallsDay trips can be arranged from Dolphin Beach to Lemukih and it’s 5 spectacular waterfalls and this is a trip that’s definitely worth making! Trekking through the jungle and wading through streams the hike to the Lemukih Waterfalls is amazing. Don’t forget you bathers! Once you arrive you can cool off in the many waterfall pools or simply stand under the misty spray.

The magnificent Sekumpul waterfall is 40 kilometres from Lovina and is arguably the most beautiful waterfall in Bali. However no pain no gain! You will have to hike 350 steps to the falls but it will be more than worth it.
